As you all know I have been a Tilda fan for a number of years .. I have all if her books. . I have been called the Tilda lady by friends

Granny Square Blankets

Hi there 

5 months since my last post!! Where did that time go?

I started a new job in January and I have not had time really to do much else.

So much has happened in the first half of this year 

In the evenings I have been doing abit of knitting and crochet

 I love making baby blankets ... always thinking of cute ideas for a baby whether its sewing, crochet, knitting

I am gathering quite a stash of baby items in a basket for my future grandchildren

Vintage Treasures

I have collecting recipe books

A coupLe of the classic Aunt Daisy Cookbooks, someone's old handwritten recipe book and a few others.

I'll be trailing some of the recipes and posting them on here.

I love collecting 

This is my dads old printers draw. I have it hanging up in the wall.

I collect thimbles.

I also collect miniatures that are handmade from a couple of ladies that have a stall at a craft fair here in New Zealand.

I also collect old books from my childhood

I read these when I was at school

And I collect vintage china 

I have many lovely pieces I have pirchased over the years 

Also, I have inherited, as above, my grandmothers China and crystal 

What do collect?

I could show you more but I'll save those for another day

My Cute Knitted Bunny

Here it is !

I purchased this little bunny pattern to make these to go with my Little Honey baby clothes. 

This little one is a gift for my daughters friend who's baby is due any day.

Will it be a boy or a girl? Not sure yet.

If it's a girl I will add an embroidered rose

If it's a boy I'll add an embroidered boat or bee.

Just getting my creative mojo back after all this time.

Happy New Year

Hi all

Just a note to welcome to 2015.

The year 2014 is a year that I am very happy to see the back of.

It has had some very hard times.... losing my dad being one of them. I have to say over recent months I have been missing him alot.  Grief isnt easy is it? even if you know that you are going to lose a loved one to cancer really I didnt prepare for the sadness of losing dad.

I am also now back at work, which is a very new thing for me after many years of being a Stay At Home Mum. This is been an extremely exhausting experience!!  So I havnt picked up a needle and thread, paint brush, pencil, knitting needle nor a crochet hook for months.

I am slowly starting to feel the need to do something but I dont quite know what the something is just yet...  Oh dear, I know I will get there eventually.

I am hoping very much to do the Tilda Swap that I postponed last year. I would like to do this around March 2015.... by that stage we will be all over Christmas and back into the normal routine of life.

With this little rave I will leave you with one of my favourite Music videos at the moment by Ed Sheenan.... I admire this dance routine and his perserverance in learning to dance,.
