Christmas Angel

Yesterday I went into a shop that had lots of bits and bobs in it for creating.
I have been on the look out for some wooden beads to make an angel idea that I had.

Well, I found them. Last night out came the wire, beads and felt and I got creating this cute little angel for the Christmas Tree.

and the other day I posted a Shabby Chic Christmas Decoration I made with Modge Podge.
I made another one.

This is created using Modge Podge, braid, folded roses and pearls. This matches the other decoration I made.

I was asked a few weeks ago if I would take another craft class. This class is going to be something quick and easy for Christmas. We have come up with an idea. I will show the finished product when it is completed.

PLEASE NOTE: REGARDING THE GIVEAWAY FOR THE FAT QUARTER. I have not received one notification of anyone signing up for the newsletter and I know people have. I have deleted the giveaway until my website designer sorts out the problem. I am rather distressed about this... so sorry.. those of you who left a comment on the giveaway I will email you personally to notify you.

Mannequin Stitchery

In one of my last posts I had this picture in the background
Some of you were intrigued to know what it was.

It is a design I will be bringing out when my website opens up.
I will have a series of these.

They are mounted on a canvas frame. I great way to display your work. I will have the instructions on how to do this with the stitchery pattern.

I have stitched bullions on this mannequin. The beauty of these designs is that you can do ribbon embroidery, back stitch or bullion stitch for the roses. Instructions on how to do this will also be in the pattern.

I have been busy drawing ideas... some of the ideas I have come up with are more mannequins, houses, Little Wheaties.. such sweeties they are (more on this later), pincushions, owls and others.

I am looking forward to seeing the Colour Swap gifts.. some should be arriving at the destinations very soon.

Have a great day

Fabric Covered Notebook

Back in the late1980's and in the '90's I used to make alot of fabric covered photo frames, tissue box covers and photo albums.. Im sure there is alot of you out there that remember that craft fad. I made so many for gifts and to sell back in the days.

I made this a couple of days ago. Inspiration came from a thought for a quilt. I had a picture in my mind and this is what I came up with.
A Shabby Chic Notebook.
Tilda fabrics used for the bunting applique
I love notebooks. I love to keep notes of all sorts in notebooks.... so maybe this will go into my bag for 'gifts' or Ill pop it into my handbag.

Have a great day

Shabby Chic Puff Tassel

I have been meaning to make this for quite sometime now.
What has inspired me to make this this afternoon is that I have seen that my most popular posts are my ribbon embroidery. I am getting hits on those posts every day. So I decided to get to doing some more.

This gorgeous little Puff Tassel - as I call it...is lovely gift for Christmas.
It is made from pure silk
with silk ribbon embroidery
pearls
and thread

I have added a lace skirt around the top

With hand made roses, made from polymer clay and velvet flowers

I made these polymer clay roses last year.
I love making these roses.

So I hope you like this little cutie

I also want to say a big Hello to the ladies visiting my blog from Snickerdoodles.
I am a feature designer on there this month.
There is a free pattern up for grabs as well as a pattern giveaway by another designer but you have to be a member to download the pattern and go into the draw. So if you are interested go to Snickerdoodles and join up click HERE to join

This afternoon's creation

I just had to post a picture of the stitchery I did this afternoon... embroidery is my forte'. I love embroidery..I have been stitching since I was about 10 years old.

The inspiration for this stichery came from a candleholder that my daughter bought for me. I have drawn many many of these types of designs.. which I am going to something with.. This is the first one.

I have done hundreds and hundreds of bullion stitches in the last 14 years. I have sold babywear with my own bullion designs on them.. I havnt done this in a while though. I just love to do freehand embroidery. I put the roses and the leaves where I think they should go as Im stitching away.

I will now make this into either the picture on the canvas or a pillow..

So thats me for today... Im on a roll now.. lets see what I come up with over the weekend hehehe ...

Take care

Lisa
