My Vintage Dolly Quilt Finished...

I have finished the quilt, I now just want to add some embellishments. This quilt looks alot nicer in real life than in the photo.

These photos are of the dolls that I will iron onto a very thick interfacing type fabric..it is almost like cardboard. I iron them onto it...do a very small zigzag around the edge then fussy cut. With the cut out clothes I iron them onto iron on pellon, small zigzag and then fussy cut. I will make a little drawstring bag out of the off cuts of fabric for the clothes and dolls to go onto.

Also, for those of you wondering what happened to the little girl Hope I mentioned in my last post. I was extremely persistant, which I can be if I have to be. In this case I could not rest until I found out what happened, as I said I was quite effected by it. I am very sad to say that Hope passed away on 10th February. Her mum, a brave and courageous lady, has resurrected her blog as a memorial blog. A very heart touching story. Life brings us some very hard stuff to deal with sometimes. Life is hard at times and it is very painful. My heart goes out to this precious lady, as she lost her husband a year ago, I think it was. If you believe in prayer please pray for Johanna.

Until next time

Lisa

Hi Lisa, your doll quilt looks fabulous, clever you.
So sad to hear the news about young Hope, no doubt a blessing in disguise but her darling Mum will feel as if her world has been rocked and the rug pulled out from under here, so many losses in such a short time.
I am sure she will appreciate your persistance in finding out about Hope, someone else who cares makes such a difference.
hugs Deb

I love the doll quilt. I saw this fabric in Keepsake Quilting catalog and I've been really eyeing it. I love it. So sorry to hear about Hope.
