Crochet Doll

This is my very first attempt at making a crochet toy.
I purchased the pattern after seeing it on Pinterest.

The designers blog is HERE

This doll's name is Candy

I had to work out the dress my own way as I could not make sense of the pattern.. but who am I .. a mere amateur and Im sure someone that is more experienced would have been able to.

I had to add the embroidery of course, as I have said before I love to embellish and dress things up with embroidery, beads etc.

I loved making this so much I am now making an elephant.

I hope you had a lovely weekend creating.

What a cute idea....

I just saw these on Facebook Riley Blake

Minature Pin Cushions

I have one of these but it has elastic that goes around the finger instead of the ring base as this has.
I thought they are rather cute.... great gift if you are doing a swap.

Im back!

Hi everyone

Welcome to my new readers.

I am back after a wonderful holiday in the USA.

One month away... a few kilo's or pounds added to my body but what an awesome break it was.
Our first stop was Colorado Springs
We went up to Pikes Peak and it started snowing.. This is me dancing in the snow.. haha.. it was such fun

Then we went off to San Francisco. We were here for 5 days.. we biked the Golden Gate Bridge on a 5 hour bike ride.. this too was soo much fun.. shopping was also a great experience

We met our children in LA.. we took them to Disneyland.
I have had a fear of heights for years... I went on this Ferris Wheel !! oh my goodness that was a rather scary experience.. but I survived.. I then proceeded to go on the rollercoaster ... the biggest one at Disneyland. I have never been on one in my life... I survived that too!

and I was like a little girl meeting up with the Disney characters at dinner and seeing the Disney Palace and fireworks this was like a little girls dream come true for me.

I had a fantastic holiday with my husband and children. A wonderful rest to recharge my batteries again.

For those of you who are doing the Full of Hearts Quilt, I am so sorry I didnt get to put the blocks up before I left. I will endeavour to do this today or tomorrow. I will put Sepember and October blocks up.

Take care
