I am a self taught crocheter
This wool is a mixture of bamboo, cashmere and cotton, a number of balls of all sorts. I use these colours to knit up the bunny soft toys I have posted about before.
I have a rather large bag of this wool so I have decided to crochet myself something.
A bag
A blanket

I am terrible at following a pattern. I hardly ever do it. I use the pattern and alot of the time end up doing my own thing.

These are a gift for a friend. Its here birthday in a week or so.
Your yarn colors are so yummy! I avoid granny squares because I have tucking in all the loose ends, and sewing the pieces together. I may reconsider after seeing this. I hadn't crocheted for several years, but I started again about 2 years ago. Still love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you always seem to use such pretty colours in all your crafts!
ReplyDeleteI used to crochet blankets in a chevron pattern... I doubt I can remember how to do it now!
It's sad that people haven't commented or thanked you, however, one thing I've learnt of late is we can not control how others behave. Hopefully if your patterns are made they will be linked back to you.
ReplyDeleteYour crochet squares look absolutely gorgeous
Your friend is a very lucky girl! I love those placemats... so feminine! I don't know how to crochet, but would like to learn someday. I like "whatever" you are making. :o)
