Tilda Purse and A new quilt in progress

I am making Christmas gifts...
Another Tilda purse.. I came across the fabric this is made of the other day
it was a 'couldnt resist' fabric. The yoyo is made from the fabric in a previous post.

I am enjoying wrapping the beads with wire on my purses. I have looked in the shops for wire wrapped beads and I just cannot find them.. so I have decided to just do it myself.. not that professional looking but creative I guess.

The yoyo

Now... I have had the Frolic charm pack for some months and yesterday I got some fresh inspiration.
I was blog hopping,as you do and I came across this quilt on Piece n Quilt click HERE, to view it.... I love the quilting she has done on the quilt.. just gorgeous.
So I decided to have a go at doing some circles. I like circles and I have been thinking of ways I could do something with them for a while.
So I used the charm pack and made the centre of the quilt.
I have yardage that I will use

Hexie Christmas Tablecloth

This is a Christmas Tablecloth for the little white wrought iron table and chair set we have sitting on our deck.
My husband and I sit out on our deck nearly everyday and have a coffee together. I thought that this would be nice to have on this little table for Christmas.
The fabrics used are the latest and also last years Christmas fabrics from Basic Grey, Fruitcake and Figgy Pudding

Before they were attached together.
And thanks to you all for your comments regarding out miners, also thanks for praying for the families and friends.. We are a nation in mourning. It is so very very sad. All over our country we have little towns. These towns are like little communities. When crisis comes these communities stick together.

Shirley Goodwin is organising Healing Heart blocks for quilts for these families.. if you would like to contribute a block or blocks please click HERE to get the details from her blog.

This is Greymouth, New Zealand - a small town on the West Coast of New Zealand. This is the town where the mine is situated.

Candles are burning in churches around the country

Tilda Fabric Christmas Basket

In a past post I showed some fabrics that I had purchased from the UK.
This Christmas basket is made from just some of them.
The Tilda Christmas fabrics
I was going to make a Christmas Tilda doll but changed my mind
This basket is a Red Brolly pattern without the embroidery.
I have made a yoyo for the front of the basket and used a Tilda heart for the centre

The sides have Tilda Christmas ribbon

The inside has the Tilda heart to cover the join for the handles

Thanks for the visits and the comments about my gorgeous roses. There were many other roses I could have showed but I didnt take photos of them. The smell of the roses is divine I have a rustic archway that my husband built that is covered in two climbing roses that I didnt take a photo of. It is a walk through archway.. maybe 3 metres long.... I guess Ill take a photo of it sometime.

On my wish list this year for Christmas is a SLR digital camera, so I can take better photos for my blog. I love photography but Im finding it rather frustrating using a point and shot camera. We had a manual SLR for years  so I hope 'Santa' makes my wish come true.

A Red Christmas

Yesterday I was out and about and I saw this gorgeous doll. She is a Advent Dolly. She has pockets on her front and back with 25 numbers. I am a lover of Advent Calendars and I love to make gifts and chocolates to put into them. This lovely doll was something I just couldnt pass by.

I love to make memories at Christmas for my children. I love to decorate the tree with Christmas Carols playing in the background. I also love to make handmade gifts, stockings, chocolate and gingerbread. It is such a lovely time of the year. I know some people find it so stressful but I just love it and I make the most of the three weeks leading up to Christmas Day.. those three weeks are my favourite time.

I am also a lover of red. Red at Christmas, as well as others. The theme, in my dining area this year will be reds.

I have also been making Christmas Cards
These are made from Stampin Up Real Red Cardstock and the Seasons of Joy Stamp Set with Whisper White ribbon.

I love the story of the Three Trees. The card above represents this story.
The Youtube Video below is of this lovely childrens story.

Shabby Chic Puff Tassel

I have been meaning to make this for quite sometime now.
What has inspired me to make this this afternoon is that I have seen that my most popular posts are my ribbon embroidery. I am getting hits on those posts every day. So I decided to get to doing some more.

This gorgeous little Puff Tassel - as I call it...is lovely gift for Christmas.
It is made from pure silk
with silk ribbon embroidery
pearls
and thread

I have added a lace skirt around the top

With hand made roses, made from polymer clay and velvet flowers

I made these polymer clay roses last year.
I love making these roses.

So I hope you like this little cutie

I also want to say a big Hello to the ladies visiting my blog from Snickerdoodles.

Vintage Satin Baby Blanket

This blanket is for a friends new baby. It is made from vintage Satin which I purchased from an auction site a year ago. I have use a fluffy fleece for the backing and I have hand embroidered a design at the top of the blanket where it turns over.

The card is a stamp from Stampin Up.

The detail of the embroidery.
