Christmas Stocking

I received a request from a customer last Friday to make another Christmas Stocking for her. I made one for her little girl last year. My customer sent me an email of the stocking she was wanting..either the Santa or the Gingerbread man. I opted for the Gingerbread Man as it was easier to acquire the fabrics...

So here is the little guy on the stocking.. He has a 3D candy cane. Im very pleased with the final outcome of this comission.

So ladies...I have alot planned for next year for my blog. I intend to have more free patterns, giveaways (as my 100th post is coming around very quickly) and I also have had over 8000 hits on my blog...so when I get to 10000 hits Ill be celebrating that...I also have my first birthday for my blog coming up too. So next year is going to be a fun year, here on my blog...well I plan it to be.

Over the holiday period I will be writing down a list of 'what I want to do on my blog' list and 'what I want to achieve with my UFO's'.

So keep checking back to see what is happening.

I hope you are all busy making and creating for Christmas.

All the best

Little birdie ornaments and other goodies...

I purchased a PDF pattern from Patchwork Pottery a few weeks ago.Bird Ornaments.. You can find this on the side of my blog...My blog list...

These are just gorgeous little birdies. I have made them out of all sorts of colours. I have made 10 so far. 5 of them went off to the kindy teachers today. They look so cute ... The above photo is of how I wrapped them. I put them into a cellophane bag and I made a tag and stamped it (of course!)..the teachers seemed pleased with their little gift.

The above photo is of the other 5 that I made tonight. I have hung them from a lovely light tree....they look great...The red one is my favourite..Im abit of a red girl :-)

I also wanted to share with you my new purchase..I ordered a quilt stand some months ago. The gentleman that made it is retired and he makes them as a hobby. It look just great in my lounge... also my quilting hoop stand is behind it with a 'UFO' quilt that I just havnt finished hand quilting..the story of my life....

Also the below photo is of a little dress I made tonight. My husband went to Africa in February this year to climb Mt Kilimanjaro with a friend of his. They meet some Africian families while there. They stayed with a missionary family for a few days. This little dress is for the most gorgeous little Africian girls. They love bright colours so I have made this dress out of orange and it has little stars on it. The other dress Im making is bright yellow... So this is something that was in the too hard basket and I have just taken that out too... Oh and ... I have finished the stocking!!! I will post that later.

I also went to the hospital for an appointment today and I have to have ear surgery!! They have to go into my ear from the back...cutting my ear, bascially at the back yuk yuk!! and then drill and do a skin graft to fix up the problem...up to 2 hour operation... so I have to say I am NOT looking forward to this at all... I guess I will let you faithful followers know when the dreaded day will be..

God bless you all
